Palmetto Mosquito Control is proud to offer the CoastalMister™ Misting System, which is the most technologically advanced continuous mosquito misting system available. The system generally consists of a 55 Gallon Poly Drum Reservoir connected to tubing and precision spray nozzles. The precision spray nozzles are carefully and precisely located in custom-designed protection zones throughout the target outdoor area, whether it is a deck, patio, pool or your entire yard.

The Misting System is fully automated and controlled by an electric timer which is set to deliver a fine, exactly measured spray for approximately 30 seconds generally twice a day – in the late evening and very early morning, when mosquitoes and gnats are most active. Also, our systems have a remote control device that allows the customer, when necessary, to add a 30 second mist. This is especially important if the customer is having a dinner party and wants to be sure that maximum control is achieved.

The finely, measured spray is a dilution of a pesticide and water. Palmetto Mosquito Control utilizes the most effective mosquito control products on the market today, which are in a class known as pyrethrins. Pyrethrins, although derived from the chrysanthemum flower, are not considered all natural due to other ingredients in the formulas that make them more effective. The products in the misting tank are mixed at a very low active ingredient concentration to target mosquitoes and gnats. Mosquitoes and gnats that come in contact with the fine mist are killed immediately. Within approximately three weeks of installation, mosquitoes and gnats are repelled from the target area. Our experience has been that once you step out of the target zone, you immediately encounter mosquitoes and gnats.

Recently, Palmetto Mosquito Control introduced the use of a new botanical product in our Residential Outdoor Misting System. This EcoSMART botanical product utilizes a combination of botanical oils such as rosemary, cinnamon and cedar. EcoSMART’s product provides a softer impact on the surrounding environment and provides another excellent tool in the fight against mosquitoes.
