All proceeds from See Spot Run benefit the Humane Society and support our low-cost spay/neuter clinic and animal cruelty prevention programs. Forest Acres Festival
Mark your calendars! The 15th annual Forest Acres Festival will be on Saturday, May 17th, 10am-4pm at the AC Flora Athletic Field. It will still be FREE, FUN and FANTASTIC for the whole family! The Forest Acres Festival is a day-long, family-friendly, fun-filled event. The festival has has something everyone will love – from free magic shows and a petting zoo to live music, arts and crafts, and food and drink from an array of local restaurants and eateries. South Carolina Book Festival
Promoting literary excellence since 1997, the SC Book Festival has grown successfully over the past decade. The festival has become a nationally recognized and regionally dominant book festival. Best of all, it’s right here in South Carolina. Attendees enjoy three days of activities. Saturday and Sunday are free to everyone. Listening to your choice of more than 70 authors presenting in solo and panel presentations, shopping and browsing in the Exhibit Hall for books, book-related items, local libraries and rare finds among the 100 exhibitors, your experience can be designed by you each day or each hour. The Antiquarian Book Fair occurs in the Exhibit Hall where you can find rare books and those book collectors’ first editions. Special ticketed events include an Opening Night Reception, Master Classes in Writing, Children’s Pavilion and Stage, a partnership event on Saturday night with the Richland County Public Library, the Literary Vine, and more.
